I'm working on building my readership on everything now so we shall see - E :)

Ma America, The Travelin' Maven
Author of the JGDS, 50-state, mystery, trivia series
Where will the adventure take you next?
http://jgdsseries.blogspot.com
http://jgdsseries.weebly.com

Elysabeth Eldering
Author of Finally Home, a YA paranormal mystery (coming soon); The Proposal (An April Fools Day story) (now available); The Tulip Kiss, paranomral romance (coming soon); Bride-and-Seek, a paranormal romance (coming soon); and Butterfly Halves, a YA fantasy (coming soon)
http://eeldering.weebly.com
http://elysabethsstories.blogspot.comelysabethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07052446855668120700noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4581912701213764582.post-88496594533666805302011-10-23T08:17:01.569-07:002011-10-23T08:17:01.569-07:00I also think its a great idea. You cant expect to just sell and sell and people dont know who you are. :DMichaelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03153722211212299752noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4581912701213764582.post-1312434062443873532011-10-22T11:39:49.813-07:002011-10-22T11:39:49.813-07:00It's an excellent idea to give away some stuff...It's an excellent idea to give away some stuff to build readership. In addition to books, I put up a lot of short stories, and I always put the short stories up on Smashwords for free for a week or so. This helps get people interested in my novels. Another good idea, that I have seen others using is the first book in a series goes for $.99 then the rest are higher.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4581912701213764582.post-43746918683785536802011-10-22T10:59:25.953-07:002011-10-22T10:59:25.953-07:00Good move. As a, well to be honest, very surprised first-time author myself, I find that I'm more interested in getting my work out there as well, and interacting with the fans, then getting hung up on sales numbers. Although, unfortunately, that's really the bottom line most of the time. Best of luck to you, and I'm gonna pop by and see how things are going!

http://www.facebook.com/pages/Aaron-Speca-AuthorEditor/216515161730857Aaron Specanoreply@blogger.com
